Relaxation or Tension
🍇 Yoga is a live, breathining art, inspired from the depths of nature. Ashtanga is a unique form of yoga that is to restore the mind to simplicity and peace to free it from confusion and distress.
🍇 Yoga philosophy see the physical body as a vehicle for the soul in its journey towards enlightenment.
🍇 According Yoga true relaxation is experienced by the body (physical body) and mind (astral body) when little or no energy is consumed. It is Nature's way of rejuvenation.
🍇 Every action conscious or unconscious, used stored energy, relaxation is necessary for good health and peace of mind. Without proper relaxation, the body and mind become overworked and inefficient.
🍇In a modern life style, the mind and muscles are kept tense all the time. This can deplete large amounts of stored energy, causing variety of stress related symptoms.
🍇 Films, TV, and certain spectator sports are packed with violence. Many of us feel these as relaxation,but in fact they have a contrary effect, tending to overstimulate the emotions.
🍇 Alcahol, Pub culture, drugs, and loud music are common form of recreation, but they are not relaxing. They leave the body even more tense, craving ever larger doses to gain momentary relief.
🍇We tend to use more energy keeping the muscles ready for work than in actually doing useful work. Yoga asanas are a technique for re training the muscles to be able to relax. Yoga encourages sound sleep. Deep sleep which rejuvenates body and mind, but in light sleep, or the dream state, actually uses energy.
🍇 Efficiency comes when a person is able to relax while engaged in the work at hand. At first, this may take conscious effort, but you will soon establish a positive habit.
🍇 Ashtanga Yoga techniques such as asanas, pranayama, and meditation all train the body and mind to relax and concentrate.
🍇 It is the nature of the mind to jump constantly, using up large amounts of energy. In meditation, the rays of the mind are focused and we experience absolute silent and peace. This gives a profound inner relaxation to the body, and mind, relieving all stress.
🍇Through meditation, you can achieve an experience of 'oneness' that destroys emotions such as jealousy, anger,fear,and hatred at their roots.
