How Nadisodhana supports to keep active and stay fit.
🍀 Health related fitness at later life, it is how active we are rather than how fit we are. The more active we are, the fitter we remain. As we get older, fitness and health gradually closer together.
🍀Alternative nostril breathing gives the gift of Aerobic fitness which involves lungs, heart and blood vessels in delivering the oxygen and fuels in the blood to release energy in the working muscles. It's one of the best technics to practice Pranayama and an excellent preparation for meditation.
🍀 Practice of meditation reminds us that happiness comes from within, and it is a state of mind. It shifts us from negativity into abundance and prosperity. Gratitude reduces fear, helps us smile during hard times and builds our relationships, as it eliminates resentment and reduces recrimination.
🍀In science of Yoga, the left side of the body is the moon side: the cooling, receptive, feminine energy and the right side is the sun side: the warming, projective, and muscline energy. This understanding applies right down the details of the body. The left nostril the air as it is drawn in, relaxes you and the right nostril warms the air as it draws it in, which energizes you.
🍀 Alternate nostril breathing execise known as Analoma viloma or Nadisodhana, will harmonize the moon and sun energy with in you,and create a powerful, peaceful inner balance. Regular practice of twenty minutes a day, improves heart function, which lessens the effects of chronic disease. Blood pressure is reduced, which helps those with mild hypertension, and reduces the normal age related rise in blood pressure. Some forms of asthma are improved by this breathing exercise.
🍀 In this breathing you follow that whichever side you just exhaled on the same side you inhale on. Hold each inhalation briefly,then exhale on the opposite side.
🍀 Breath walking: No matter where you are, whether in the city or the great outdoors, get the most out of the walking by inhaling and exhaling in rhythm with your step while you focus on your breath.
🌱 Yoga goes with you wherever you go, because all it requires your willingness to practice.
